Mobile has Surpassed Desktop Search

It’s finally happened.  What most internet marketing and SEO professionals have been expecting for years, is now official:  more searches now occur on mobile devices than desktop computers.  Wow!

Google announced on Tuesday, “..more Google searches take place on mobile devices than on computers in 10 countries including the US and Japan.”  This is a huge leap forward for the industry as a whole.  Users now expect speed, ease of use, and mobile friendliness more than ever before.  And keep in mind that this doesn’t even count tablets – tablets are still considered “desktop” machines because of their size.  The bottom line:  your customers use smartphones and they want a mobile-friendly site!
