How to Get People to Love Your Brand

So, what does this tell us about marketing? Well, competitive prices and focusing on sales isn’t where you need to be spending your time. Instead, you should be focusing on creating, building, and marketing a brand that your ideal audience will love. This loyalty is priceless! When people enjoy your brand, they’ll keep coming back time and time again.

No matter how long you’ve been in business, there’s still time to refresh or redefine your brand. Let’s get to it!

Here is some great input for how to get people to love your brand:

1. Tell them your story

What’s your story? This might be the story of how your family founded your business or your story of growing up and getting inspired by this field of work. What’s important about telling your story is highlighting what makes it special. What part of it can inspire, surprise, or delight someone? What emotions does it evoke? Use these features to your advantage!

2. Share what you stand for

Every brand has values of some kind. This may be found in your preferences on operations, sourcing materials, or your method… or it may be something that can be more relatable and general. For instance, you can be focused on eco-friendly practices! These more general values are easy to relate to and are great to share with your audience, but don’t forget about the more specific ones. For example, if you believe in only using ethically sourced cocoa, you may need to explain why, but your audience might really enjoy that information!

3. Focus on who you’re representing

Is your brand built for someone in particular? Take a look at your demographics, or think about your ideal clients, and who they might be. Gear your business towards them be appealing to them but also picturing and talking about them in your marketing! These groups can be pretty broad or more specific. Some examples may include: single moms, men that love golf, teenage girls, people about to retire, kids that play sports– any group that you can identify! You may even identify with them somehow, and it’s great to share that!
