Feeling Lost? How to Get Back on Track with Marketing Your Business
Do you feel lost when it comes to marketing your business? Have you lost track of your goals, your plan, or your initial success?
Are your struggling to achieve the results you want to see or the goals you’ve set?
We’re here to help. Set some time aside, sit down, and we’ll guide you through where to go from here. We see this all the time. It’s easy to get lost with your marketing, especially when you’re busy running a business! You can have the best intentions, but there’s still enough on your plate that marketing can get sidetracked. That’s okay.
Let’s start getting back on track with your marketing strategy!
1. Reflect
Pull up all of your marketing efforts and take some time to reflect on what was happening. This will include pulling up your website, social media pages, emails, and more. Review your content to see what messages and delivery methods you were using and how they were received. Were they effective? Jot down notes on which of your efforts seemed to get the best results and which were the most lacking. You may also want to write down how frequently you were posting and when, so you can best review your analytics on social media.
2. Review
Take a look at your notes and review what was or wasn’t working. If nothing was working, don’t get disheartened– that’s a foundation to start with! If something was successful, you’ll want to remember that for later because it may be a good starting point. Taking a good look at your marketing as a whole will help you with re-developing your strategy later.
3. Set goals
Decide what goals you want to focus on. We don’t mean follower counts– we mean helpful business achievements. For instance your goal may be drawing in new leads. You can also set a goal for bringing in more website viewers, getting more calls, earning more email subscriptions, or more! We recommend making this goal measurable, so decide what number is reasonable enough that you could achieve it. For example, you could say your goal is to receive 5 new leads this month.
4. Strategize
This is the part where it all comes together. With your goals at the focus, decide what methods you will use to achieve your them. This includes what platform you’ll use, whether it’s blogs, social media, email marketing, something else, or a combination of methods. You’ll also want to think of what messages will best get your point across– jot them down as you have ideas!
5. Talk to the experts
If you don’t want to go through this process alone, it’s time to get in touch with our team. We’ll set up a free consultation where we can discuss your business, your current marketing performance, and what we’d recommend. From there, we’ll create a custom strategy that caters just to you. We can help you manage all aspects of your marketing, whether you just want to consult an expert or you want to focus on your business while we do all the work.
