Today we’d like to share with you a couple of tips that we tell our clients when we’re asked ‘What are we doing wrong on social media?’
We always start by talking about being overly promotional. If all of your posts are about you, your product, your services, and you aren’t trying to engage in customer conversations, this could be something that’s driving them away from you. This may also be a reason that more people aren’t following you on social media.
Another reason could be that you’re posting irrelevant information. For example, if you’re posting information that has nothing to do with your customers, or your products and services, you might be losing track of your audience. While it’s a good strategy to talk about out-of-the-box topics, it’s just not a good strategy to bring out completely irrelevant information.
Another issue that could be happening is that you’re not posting enough. If you’re not posting frequently, your message might not be getting out there to your optimal audience- it could be getting lost in the shuffle. So, if you’re not giving your followers a reason to follow you, they may be unfollowing or ignoring you.
