Responsibilities of a Fractional CMO

  • Heads the marketing department and leads the team. This marketing team can include any in house marketing positions, the i3 Media Solutions team, and other vendors. In many cases we act as internal employee and work closely with your leadership team.
  • Creating and executing a marketing plan.
  • Determines the best short term and long-term marketing strategies for business based on the ideal target customers.
  • Creates solutions to marketing problems as they arise.
  • Reviews analytics and stays informed about the sales incentives and helps support.

Services Offered

As your Fractional CMO, we will provide the following services:

  • Strategic marketing plan: development of a comprehensive marketing plan that aligns with your business objectives.
  • Brand development: Enhancing brand identity and positioning in the market.
  • Digital marketing: Implementing effective online marketing strategies including SEO, social media, paid campaigns, website updates, and email marketing. Working with the team that is currently in place and enhancing to make sure that we are effectively reaching the target audience as defined in the marketing plan.
  • Graphic design & print marketing: design client guides, proposal templates, postcards, and various branded items to help enhance the brand. (Promotional items and cost of printing is additional.)
  • Campaign management: Design and oversee marketing campaigns tailored to generate leads and increase sales.
  • Analytics and reporting: Regular analysis of marketing efforts to ensure goals are met and to adjust strategies, as necessary.

Proposed Engagement Details:

  • Time Commitment: We are estimating 30 hours a month. (The monthly budget can scale up or down based on marketing budget.)
  • Compensation: monthly retainer $3,000
  • The rate per hour depends on the task performed.
    • Meetings and strategy sessions will be at $40 an hour.
    • Content writing, design, and implementation will be at $125 an hour.
    • Any remaining balance of time will be applied to the next months’ time.

Getting Started

We like to be part of the department or company meetings to learn about the company and the marketing needs. If there are weekly or monthly meetings, please let us know where they are and how often they repeat. If no existing company meetings, we would like to schedule a kickoff with who you determine to be decision makers.

The first step then is Discovery and Assessment. We take a deep dive into your company and your industry, gaining the objective view we need to develop a research-driven marketing plan that achieves your goals.

From that we start formulating the Strategic Marketing & Growth Plan

We leverage the discovery findings and analysis to develop a plan that’s informed by research, grounded in strategy, and aligned with your goals. We craft a custom, actionable roadmap that outlines your ideal customers and their personas, a strategic approach, targeted marketing tactics and channels, execution timeline, technologies and other resources, budget, and the key performance indicators (KPIs) we’ll measure against.
